A commonly used start by many top player is to think ‘drag and set’. This is used by players like Faldo and Badderley. The drag part is where you feel like you drag the grip away first allowing the club to move wide and slow. The set part gets the club head to speed up and gets it on the correct plane. A simple but effective key thought.
